Jeff and I drove out to the Blue Ridge Mountains on 10/22/11 to check out the fall foliage. We decided to head south of interstate 64, on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our first stop was Humpback Rocks. We’d been there once before, but it was several years ago. The climb up was a bit tougher than I’d remembered. I can blame that on age, right?

After recovering from the hike up and back down, we set out in the car, stopping at several of the overlooks. Traffic was light and the weather was perfect. Although the colors weren’t as brilliant as in past years, it was a great day.
