February 12, 2007Snow bunnies for a day
Saturday we went to Wintergreen to get our first real taste of snow (and skiing) this season. It was supposed to be a trip involving many of Jeff's coworkers however all except one bailed. So the 3 of us drove the 2 hours to Wintergreen to stand in line to rent equipment, stand in line to get lift passes, stand in line for lunch, and finally stand in line to get on the lifts.
The weather was absolutely perfect (ok it was kinda cold). The sun was shining and there wasn't any freezing rain pelting us in the face. (Always a plus!) There were however a LOT of people. I have never seen so many people in the lift line. Thankfully they move pretty quick, so we were able to get in a decent number of runs in.
It's a shame it all costs so much because I would definitely be out there more. I hope I can walk better tomorrow though, my calves are killing me!
