December 25, 2003Home for the Holidays

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Choo-choo!Monday morning at 4:30 Jeff and I got up to get me to the airport for my 7:15 flight. Who knew it wouldn't be crowded and I'd be through security by 6? Oh well. So I waited. And then in Atlanta, I waited some more. Two hours and 40 minutes. Plus the plane we were taking came in late. Almost 3 hours in the Atlanta airport. There's not much to do there. But I did see a security guard riding round on a Segway, that was cool.

About 12:30 we landed in Little Rock. Bruce picked me up since mom and dad were at the dentist. We've just been hanging out since then. Did a little shopping with my mom on Tuesday. Picked up those last minute presents that always seem to pop up no matter how hard you try. And of course we had to visit the cross stitch and scrapbook stores. :)
Meow!
My dad tried to set up his old train around the tree, but the engine quit working after a couple laps. Stormy (cat on the right), was awfully interested though!

Yesterday morning my dad and I picked up the Mustang from the shop. They were surprising my brother for Christmas by getting it up and running again. I still can't believe he didn't hear us pull into the garage around noon. I guess I would still be sleeping if I'd gone to bed after 4 too.

Mmmm...rum balls
Mom (& dad) have been busy fixing food for today. We're on our second batch of rum balls already. :) That's what they're fixing in the picture. And that's my dad keeping me away so they can finish!

Opening presents happened this morning and now we're waiting for Bruce to get back from his girlfriend's house so we can eat. I'm getting really hungry (it's 3:30!). So he better show up soon!!
