June 18, 2003Chasing waterfalls

Kapa'a Beach

Another semi-slow day found us hunting for waterfalls. We actually only saw 2, but seemed to be driving all day. A brief stop at Oki Diner for lunch was an interesting experience. Definitely a local mom and pop kind of place. Shopping at Coconut Marketplace followed; we picked up a few more souvenirs/gifts. I think Jeff is about shopped out already, and this is only the first island!

We spent some time back at Pono Kai before dinner. Jeff and I walked down the beach a ways and saw people kite surfing. I'm not sure what it's officially called, but that's what it looks like. Another new dining experience at Coconuts was fun. It was more upscale food than we all expected, but it was good.

By the time we got back I was so sleepy. We flipped through the past few days worth of pictures and then hit the sack. How can doing so little make a person so tired?
