July 8, 2002Monday Mission 07/08/021. Have you had to repair anything lately? Did you do it yourself or have someone else do it? Repairs..hmm..can't think of anything lately. I like to do them myself, unless they're car related, then Jeff gets those :) 2. Do you work out or exercise? Or is there anything you do each day for your health? Hahahahahaaha!!! 3. Are you a modest person? That is, would you be embarrassed for someone (an acquaintance, a friend, a stranger) to see you nude? I'm fairly modest, sure. 4. Some smells that I just can not stand are bags of grass clippings that have sat in the hot sun for a few days, burned hair and vomit (although, thankfully, I have not had to smell them all at the same time). What are some odors that you just can not stand to smell? Besides those (not sure about the grass clippings though): seafood, burning rubber and/or brakes, paper factories. 5. Are there any social situations that make you uncomfortable? Any? Let's just say most. 6. Has a friend or an employer ever asked you to do something you felt was unethical or? What was it and what happened? If some one asks me to do something I feel is unethical, I would tell them no. If they are a true friend, they will respect that decision. 7. (continued) Well, we are not yet at our destination, though the way you described it, it sounds simply amazing. What is the first thing we should do once we get there? I've forgotten what's going on with this..doh! vacation! BONUS: In this whole world, what is fair? Not a whole lot. But what IS fair? How do we define fair?

1. Have you had to repair anything lately? Did you do it yourself or have someone else do it? Haven't had to fix much lately, except solving problems that I've created. I tend to be pretty handy, but since most repairs happen when you own a home, I never have to worry about that stuff. Can't wait to though. I actually look forward to that. 2. Do you work out or exercise? Or is there anything you do each day for your health? I work out when the occasion arises. Haven't done it recently, and after a brief stint of discomfort, I have settled back into not doing it. And yes, I'm fine with that. 3. Are you a modest person? That is, would you be embarrassed for someone (an acquaintance, a friend, a stranger) to see you nude? Eh, I don't care. I am who I am. My good buddies like me for who I am, and as far as strangers go- hey, they're strangers. When am I ever going to see them again? (Hence the walking-around-in-boxer-brief occasions) 4. What are some odors that you just can not stand to smell? Wet dog. Cooked cabbage. Three bean salad. Sewage. Vomit. Oh, and ass. 5. Are there any social situations that make you uncomfortable? I always tense up at first, but I force myself to stick through things, and they tend to work out okay. Gauging the length of conversations seems "forced" to me and is a bit unnerving. 6. Has a friend or an employer ever asked you to do something you felt was unethical or? What was it and what happened? I've been in plenty of situations where my principles were tested. I sleep well at night because I do not compromise them for anyone, including myself. That's all a person really has. And once those are broken, they never revitalize at full strength again. 7. (continued) Well, we are not yet at our destination, though the way you described it, it sounds simply amazing. What is the first thing we should do once we get there? Umm, again, you're a dude. I hope this is a strip club or somethin, 'cause I don't plan on holding your hand or anything. BONUS: In this whole world, what is fair? I think what's "fair" is if everyone struggles to be "fair." In any circumstance, any occasion, every battle could be resolved if both sides knew that the other side was giving something up-- making a sacrifice as a gesture of peace. It's those gestures that make things "fair." Without them, nothing's fair. Posted by: Brian Korte on July 8, 2002 4:36 PMThree bean salad, good one! I can't stand that stuff!
