PromoGuy's Monday Mission

1. Have you ever sold anything through an online auction? What did you sell and did you make very much?

Nope, haven't sold anything.

2. Have you ever bought anything through an online auction? How was your experience?

Oh yes, many times. Love ebay. It's addicting!

3. Do you like the sun? Getting a suntan? Have you ever had a bad sunburn?

I get a bad sunburn at least once every summer. Hopefully I've already had mine for the season! Even knowing how bad the sun is for your skin, I still like to have a little tan; don't want to be pasty white in the middle of July!

4. Are you a vegetarian? Why? If not, have you ever considered it?

Indeed I am.

5. Suppose you are getting into your car after you've just made your purchase from a store you visit twice a week. You suddenly realize you had a .35¢ item in your hand and you forgot to pay for it. What would you do next? (what *would* you do, not what *should* you do)

Oh yikes. Should: walk back in and pay for it. Would: walk back in and pay for it. Or just put it back on the shelf!

6. Sometimes it seems that there is just not enough time to do everything that must be done. Was there anything you wanted to accomplish this weekend that didn't get done?

Well, considering I was not at home this weekend, I didn't get anything done! I have laundry to do, bills to pay, apartment to clean, etc...

7. What is your favorite game to play with a group and/or an individual? (board game, computer game, athletic, etc.)

Hmm..that's a rather broad question. I like to watch people play board games more that I like to play. And I don't like playing physical sports. I do like things like badmitten and koosh, though. :) Computer games: The Sims, solitaire, and mah jong are my favorite. Video: Dr Mario, Ms Pacman.

BONUS: One headline why believe it?

What?

Find me in: Questions to Ponder

Comments

1. No, I would like to b/c it looks like a lot of fun, but it also seems like there's a lot of work behind it (registering, getting a paypal account, etc.)

2. Nope, haven't done that either, I just started actual BUYING stuff, period, online about a year or so ago--it is so much fun! I love just clicking a couple buttons and then waiting to get my item in the mail, it's like Christmas!

3. I'm pissed at the sun right now b/c it is making the weather too F%^&*@! hot outside and it's turning me into a stinky sweaty girl by the end of my workday. I've kinda given up on the tan thing since I'm doomed to be a white girl perpetually. I'm hoping that "pasty" look that Olivia mentioned is going to come in style soon!

4. Carnivore, but don't eat red meat often.

5. Would: Let it go and get home because I don't want to deal with explaining myself....next time I'm there I'll throw a couple extra coins in the "take a penny" jar or something. Should: C'mon, it's 35 frickin' cents! I ain't going to Hell! Besides, with the markup on all the other shit I bought, I deserve it as a free gift!

6. I agree Olivia, laundry, and and some work stuff, oh yeah and Lololand!

7. Anything loud and interactive....lately Scattergories has been a been a ton of fun, especially when certain people are participating (hint: Edlin) :)

bonus: This is a fragment sentence and makes no frickin sense.

I'm glad to hear you like to play badmitten and koosh. That was fun!

1. I've sold quite a few of Erica's unmentionables on Ebay, and believe you me, I've made a TON of money!

2. I usually buy bulk quantities of Saran Wrap online - shipping and handing's always a bitch though.

3. I do not like to go outside. I spend most of my time in my mom's basement with my hamsters and gerbils.

4. Meat is good. Good meat.

5. 35 cents?! That's enough extra cash to buy a new gerbil!

6. I wish I had more time to organize my collection of women's bras and panties collection. I still need to find time to sort them by color and size. Mom thinks its an obsession - its more like a hobby to me, though.

7. Ooh, definitely Scattergories! But no one likes my answers though. Erica is real! I have pictures of her..... LOTS of pictures!

1. Have you ever sold anything through an online auction? What did you sell and did you make very much?

I've sold stuff before. Mainly VHS movies that I now have DVDs for. I once waited in line overnight (on a work day) for a Playstation II (and some games) and then turned around and sold it on eBay for $620- almost $300 profit.

2. Have you ever bought anything through an online auction? How was your experience?

Oh lord. Tons. All have been good so far, except the jerk who hasn't sent my stuff or contacted me yet this week. These kind of people really bug me. I'll be sure to warn everyone else by leaving a note on his feedback.

I'm not. Because meat tastes great. Sure I have considered it. I have come close several times to just calling it quits. Even now, I won't eat chicken unless it has been filleted or pre-sliced. I refuse to eat pot roasts, and most steak is avoided, unless it is also a fillet. Fatty meat grosses me out, and after taking anatomy classes in high school, it's been difficult eating chicken off the bone when I know what tendons and ligaments go where. Yuck. Screw that.

5. Suppose you are getting into your car after you've just made your purchase from a store you visit twice a week. You suddenly realize you had a .35¢ item in your hand and you forgot to pay for it. What would you do next? (what *would* you do, not what *should* you do)

If the value were anything more than a dollar, I'd turn aroudn that very moment. If it were only $.35 and I frequent the place twice a week, I'd remember it next time and give the clerk an extra $.35 at least. And that's not something I'd forget about, because it would hover over me like a cloud of guilt. I'd be there bright and early the next time I had planned on going.

6. Sometimes it seems that there is just not enough time to do everything that must be done. Was there anything you wanted to accomplish this weekend that didn't get done?

A good weekend for me involves at least one movie, at least 15 minutes of stitching, and a visit with at least one of my friends. Most weekends get these met within an hour. I try to accomplish a lot of things in my weekends. I don't think of it as a let-down if I don't. For example, I'm running on my last few T-shirts that are decent enough to wear at the office. So I know I have to do laundry. But if I don't? I won't beat myself up about it. I made the lazy decision, so I have to deal with it. Guess that means I'll be stopping by Kohl's on the way home. heh.

7. What is your favorite game to play with a group and/or an individual? (board game, computer game, athletic, etc.)

Anything in a group is fun. We could play pick-up stix in a group and I'd still have a blast. I love the dynamic of groups, and with my friends, it's always an adventure. I only enjoy playing Quake when everyone plays.

BONUS: One headline why believe it?

That's not English. I refuse to respond. God, these bonus questions suck.
