February 8, 2003Statue of Liberty..in Richmond? So I was driving down Route 1 (Brook Rd) yesterday and as I passed though the Parham intersection say a strange site. There was a woman walking down the sidewalk dressed at the Statue of Liberty. Robe, crown, torch, she had it all. Now I know Richmond has it's weirdos, but this is one of the stranger things I have seen. I mentioned this siting to the lady cutting my hair and she told me it was some promotional deal for the cell phone store there at the corner. I just can't imagine what kind of sale would need a Lady Liberty walking around outside in the cold. What's the weirdest thing you've seen around town?
Find me in: Huh?

In downtown Pittsburgh, theres a famous wanderer dubbed "The Bird Lady." She just walks around telling people that the world will end in 3 days. Last time I saw her was at least 8 years ago. Whew! Then he road off on a tricycle about 6 feet long that looked like the original star ship enterprise. Now this was L.A. so there it was not unuasual.
