February 11, 2003Routed and reroutedYou'd think finding out why a company is paying you would be simple. But believe me, it's not. I have 2 checks here from US Treasury. So I call the general info number listed on the website. (Office in DC) I then get sent to the Austin, TX office where the check was processed. From there I'm told it's from the Department of Veteran Affairs. I call another general number and some how end up in Roanoke. The person there tells me I need to speak with the Buffalo, NY office. That office hardly has a clue and sends me to another department. But first they give me the wrong number, so I have to call back, sit through the entire menu system again just to talk to a real person. I get the number, call, and the girl barely says 2 words (the whole time smacking like she's eating). Turns out, there should be a letter coming soon (from our local Richmond Office) to explain the check! Agh!!

Sounds like a whole lot of people haven't been receiving their memos. And don't forget those coversheets for the TPS Reports! Posted by: Top on February 11, 2003 1:17 PMHoly hell. Posted by: Brian on February 11, 2003 2:41 PM

This has nothing to do with my company; it could happen anywhere.
