February 24, 2003Just another manic MondayWhy is it that the majority of my site's traffic is on a Monday? Do people really not want to face the fact that the weekend is over and they have to go back to work? (Why else would I be writing this now, right?) So what did everyone do this weekend? I myself did absolutely nothing, and it was lovely. The most productive thing I did was run a few errands on Saturday. We need more weekends like this. This is like that last 30 minutes of work, when you know anything you start working on will be at least an hour project, so you just fool around until it's time to go. But for me, right now, I still have an hour and a half. But I still can't seem to make myself do any work. In case I confused anyone, I'm leaving at 2:30 for a meeting with my new oral surgeon. That's right folks, after almost 6 years of talking and complaining about it I'm finally going to get my wisdom teeth out. Yikes! I guess the meeting today is just to prepare for the actual 'event.' I hope we can get this done as soon as possible because I don't want to wait anymore. It's kinda like getting a major haircut; once you decide to do, you have to do it right away or you'll lose the nerve. Hmm..guess that's it for now. Go Tony!

Ooh.... getting your wisdom teeth removed sounds like loads of fun! I had to have 5 teeth removed before I got my braces - this was 9th grade maybe....? Yeah. That was fun. :) Posted by: Top on February 24, 2003 2:20 PMVicodin is a good thing, I think I still have some left from my druggy days... 5 bucks a pill... anyone? Posted by: Paul on February 24, 2003 3:19 PMI had mine puleld out before they grew out, so I never really got to know them on a first-name basis. I sure could use a trip to the oral surgeon though... Posted by: Duh. on February 24, 2003 3:47 PMBest wishes, Olivia! Just make sure Jeff pampers you during your recovery :) Posted by: Lauren on February 24, 2003 5:47 PMWOW, Paul...they gave you Vicodin? I was taking 800mg of Advil afterwards, and that was it for drugs! The actual procedure was kind of cool...I was out, but I could hear everything, follow commands from the surgeon, and felt only pressure in my mouth--no pain at all. When I was waking up from whatever they gave me, I felt like I had only been asleep for 10 minutes, but it had been an hour! Sounds weird, but it wasn't a unenjoyable experience for me. Just kind of neat. :-) Until the anesthetic wears off and you start feeling the pain, I guess... Good luck, Olivia! If you need any help with anything on Thursday, just call me!
